Todd Hoffman Biography
Todd Hoffman Founder, Scene Of The Accident, Inc.

Todd Hoffman has been in the automotive field for over thirty years. He is considered an automobile expert by both the Automotive and Insurance Industries. Todd has spent the last six years traveling around the country and training Automobile Technicians and Insurance Appraisers in vehicle construction and repair procedures.

Todd has received the I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair) Instructor Of The Year award. He also received the 2004 I-CAR Chairman's Award, and the 2004 National Auto Body Councils coveted PRIDE award. Todd has also received numerous citations and awards from Fire Departments and Municipalities from across the country.

Todd writes articles for many national trade magazines. Todd was recently published in Fire Chief Magazine which is distributed to fire departments world-wide. Todd is also called upon by many radio, television and print media for information and statements for news stories and commentaries.

Todd became involved with the Emergency Services in 2001 when he was asked to present information on airbags and hybrid vehicles to a local volunteer fire department. The night Todd arrived for his presentation he found over two hundred volunteer firefighters in attendance. Todd realized the need for safety training and immediately began researching how he could use the information he possessed to help our Emergency Personnel stay safe and help save lives.

Todd has spent the last 6 years working closely with Emergency and Automotive Experts to develop new procedures that would help reduce the time spent at the scene of the accident freeing trapped accident victims. Todd learned about the "Golden Hour" which is from the time the 911 call is placed until the patient is in the hands of the medical team at the hospital. For every second past this critical 60 minutes, the patients chances of survival are greatly reduced.

Todd completed his first program and debated over what he should charge for his training. He was asked to attend a meeting of volunteer fire chiefs where he was made aware of the problems faced by our Emergency Workers. He found that there are over 1.1 million firefighters in the United States with over 800,000 or 73% of these dedicated men and women being volunteers. Due to budget cuts and increased costs, most departments do not have the funds for training. When Todd heard this, he made a commitment to the Fire Service and all Emergency Personnel that all of his training materials would be available to them at no cost. In most cases Todd's presentations are delivered for free.

Todd formed Scene Of The Accident, Inc. as a non profit 501(c)3 corporation in 2005. He organized a Board of Directors that are all experts in their fields with a commitment to helping save the lives of others through training. Todd is in the process of completing his 12-part program and will be holding 2-day Train The Trainer events to update and train others on the newest in accident scene safety so they can present his materials to their own departments. Todd has also been delivering Extrication and Safety at the Scene Of The Accident training all across the country. Todd is committed to making a difference in the world. He spends countless hours working on this project for no compensation. His desire to help others serves as an inspiration to everyone.
